A Fresh Take on Weddings at The Arbor Loft

by Ember Event Management – Wedding Planner in Rochester, NY

The first styled shoot at the NEW Arbor Loft in Downtown Rochester was one for the books. The shoot showcased the Loft’s modern design and was a collab with top tier vendors highlighting how thoughtful details and a clean, flexible venue can create a timeless and personal wedding experience.

We were inspired by the elegance and versatility of The Arbor Loft. With its natural light, subtle textures, and thoughtful details, we aimed to create a design that reflects the style of couples seeking a sophisticated yet approachable wedding in Rochester.

We collaborated closely with Midnight Moss on the design, drawing inspiration from springtime in Rochester for the florals.

The Arbor Loft’s open floor plan and minimalist aesthetic make it a true blank canvas (a canvas with stunning chandeliers, of course!). As part of the team began setting up the tablescapes, our dream team of stylists got the couple photo-ready. Jess Boddery nailed the soft glam look we envisioned, while Noir Beauty crushed both the sleek updo and a quick style for our groom. The updated suites also offered an incredible space for the couple to get ready — so naturally, we had to kick off the shoot there.

Meanwhile, downstairs, a special touch in the shoot was the vintage flatware passed down from my mom — a reminder that personal details can absolutely be woven into modern weddings.

It paired perfectly with the hand-pressed stationery from Posey Letterpress. Honestly, we gave her very little direction, and she nailed it. The envelope liners matched the florals so seamlessly, it felt meant to be.

Once the couple was ready, we had fun shooting in the ceremony area, around the tablescapes (don’t you love the modern sofas from McCarthy?), and, of course, we had to grab some shots in front of the marble bar.

We wrapped the shoot with a quick dress change (Stella’s Bridal came through!), as the couple toasted in front of the lavish cake created by the incredibly talented Dream Cakes by Lucy. And yes — Encore brought the cold sparkers, because who doesn’t love a little cold sparkler action?

This day was truly a team effort, with some of the best vendors coming together to bring the vision to life. Honestly, having a strong, collaborative vendor team makes all the difference when your wedding day arrives.
